It is under the Interface option. Digital developed the PostScript in this printer with them. I use the IIP driver without any problem.

Nah, never give up! Power cycling the printer is the common work-around for this problem. Do you have or know where I can get this driver? Sorry about the msg.
I can’t find it in Chooser, and I keep getting an error saying that the LaserWriter 8 can not be found.

It works quite well actually. What suggestions do you have for fixing this problem? If you want to use the printer in Postscript mode, try declasser one of the generic postscript drivers. I need you help!!! I am trying to use a DecLaser with a Windows Vista computer and can not find a driver for it. Personally, I think it’s a memory leak in the Adobe software.
I have suggestions for that if anyone asks. When I try to set the printer up in Chooser it is no where to be found or it says that it does not support the postscript.
The interesting thing is I have my connected to both a PC and a Mac – the Mac connection always works properly.
One note, I’ve had my since they first came out and sometimes the will sometimes hang. You can also try switching from a parallel port to the serial port.

Is there any reason why you can’t use the one that comes with Win 98? That is the only thing I can think of that would cause the printer not to be seen by the Mac. If it hangs ALL the time under Microsoft operating systems, try changing the time out settings.
So there is also a chance you could get the driver from them.
